Glory to our men at arms. They are of a generation to which all
subsequent generations owe much. They kept us free. Their story is a brave one, of which
we are relearning to appreciate their gifts to us. But all in all they were also ordinary
people, dreaming of a future, and enjoying what life brought to them.
Each of the United States Airmen training at Turner Field published a
class book that told some of the history of the field, of the class and their experiences
at Turner Field and of the Army Air Corps. Each book included pictures of the class
and its officers.
The library section of the display being planned by the current occupant
of the Air Base, Miller Brewing Company, Albany, Georgia, will house the copies of these
class books. We currently have copies of Classes 41-H and 41-I. If you have
copies of books for other classes that you would like to perserve in this manner, please
contact the WEBMASTER.

(This is the cover of the
1941 Turner Field Yearbook.)
